A video from a Nigerian hair salon shows a heated altercation between an apprentice and her boss after the apprentice was slapped for arriving late to work.

Following the altercation, the apprentice demanded a refund of her registration fee. 

When her boss refused, she allegedly called in local thugs (egbon adugbo), who stormed the shop and caused chaos.

Amid the commotion, the apprentice was seen grabbing wigs and hair extensions before fleeing the saloon.

The incident has sparked online discussions about the frequent tensions and lack of structure in Nigeria’s apprenticeship system.
