A fully loaded 33,000-litre diesel tanker overturned on Akala Expressway in Ibadan on Friday, January 16, 2026, spilling fuel across the roadway and crushing a parked black Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV owned by a female driver.
The woman, who had briefly stepped away to buy food near the OPay office, returned to find her vehicle flattened under the tanker.
In the video on X, she appeared visibly shaken, calling her husband in distress and insisting the tanker driver replace her car entirely.
Despite the massive fuel spill, no fire broke out and no injuries were reported.
