Senator Adams Oshiomole has responded to a circulating video showing him massaging a woman’s feet on a private jet, claiming that the footage is AI-generated.
The video which made the rounds on social media on Tuesday, February 3, showed a man who looked like lawmaker massaging the feet of a young lady said to be a lifestyle influencer and Adult content creator in South Africa who describes herself on Instagram as a professional Sugarbaby.
Many Nigerians had claimed that the woman in the video was his wife, Iara. However, investigation showed the lady is not Iara. As expected, the video generated widespread reactions from Nigerians.
In a swift response, the media office of Senator Oshiomhole dismissed the video as entirely fabricated. They described it as a "poorly crafted and edited fake AI video" produced by individuals with malicious intent to blackmail the senator and damage his public image.
The statement highlighted technical flaws in the clip, particularly inconsistencies visible around the 0:06-second mark in the approximately 30-second recording—as clear indicators of artificial intelligence manipulation and digital editing.
Senator Oshiomhole's team urged the public, media outlets, and social media users to disregard the footage completely, labeling it a deliberate attempt at misinformation. They emphasized that the video does not reflect any actual event involving the senator.
