Air Force Opens New Housing Project for Teachers in Bayelsa School

The Nigerian Air Force has opened a special project at Biseni Secondary School in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

The project aims to improve relations between the military and local communities while supporting education.

The Chief of the Air Staff said the intervention is part of the NAF's efforts to build trust with communities and get their cooperation with security agencies.

He explained that good civil-military relations depend on constant, honest and helpful interaction between the military and communities.

The NAF is committed to such projects that strengthen ties with communities and support security operations.

He noted that 18 similar projects have been opened across the country with more ongoing.

The Biseni project was done to honour Air Vice Marshal Ebimobo Ebiowe, who is from the community.

The project includes a two-bedroom apartment for the school principal and four one-bedroom apartments for teachers.

The Chief of the Air Staff urged those using the facilities to maintain them and called on residents to provide information to security agencies.

He assured that the NAF and other agencies will keep working to protect lives and property.

Air Vice Marshal Ebiowe called the project significant for himself, Biseni Town and the entire clan.

He thanked President Tinubu for appointing the Chief of the Air Staff, saying it made the project possible.

He noted the facility would improve the school's condition and create better learning environments.

The Bayelsa State Government praised the NAF, saying it shows good partnership in grassroots development.

The state's representative said the project matches efforts to bring development to communities across the state.

Traditional rulers and the school principal also praised the project.

Additional support was pledged including a solar power system from the state government, computer sets from the electricity company and classroom desks from the education commissioner.
