Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero wants the federal government to step in fast.
Families in Jega and Maiyama local government areas of Kebbi State have fled their homes as bandits pushed in from Zamfara and Sokoto after military operations there.
Aliero, who represents Kebbi Central, raised the issue in a motion at the Senate.
He named a long list of affected communities, including Jan Dutsi, Agada, Kimba, Alelu, Tanja, Jadadi, Bawanka, Kaba, Zugu, Tafkin Kada and Gehuru.
Many residents are now sheltering in the headquarters of Jega, Aliero and Maiyama.
The attacks have brought fear, property losses and deaths.
He also raised the killing of three staff of Hi-Tech, the firm building the Badagry to Sokoto superhighway.
The Kebbi State Government has been feeding and housing the displaced, but Aliero says the crisis is too big for the state alone.
He wants more troops, equipment and logistics for security forces.
He also asked the National Emergency Management Agency to assess the needs of displaced people and send food, water, shelter and medical supplies.
He ended by calling for federal and state governments to work together so families can return home safely once their areas are secure.
