Natasha Osawaru Makes Headlines After Dropping Idibia Name in Edo Assembly

Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru introduced herself using only her own surname during a plenary session on Tuesday.

She did not mention Innocent Idibia, the singer known as 2Baba.

The nameplate in front of her also showed only Osawaru.

She represents Egor constituency and is the minority leader of the Edo State House of Assembly.

She was speaking in support of a bill to strengthen emergency response in the state.

In April 2025, she had introduced herself as "née Idibia" in a plenary session.

The two married in July 2025 after 2Baba split from his wife, Annie Macaulay Idibia.

They held a dedication ceremony for their first child in February.

The latest move comes as public interest in their relationship grows.

She was missing from the singer's 51st birthday and album listening party in Lagos.

A video from August that appeared to show them arguing at an Abuja nightclub also drew attention.

Recently, 2Baba and Annie followed each other online, while 2Baba and Natasha stopped following each other.
