FCT Minister Nyesom Wike says Nigeria's economic problems cannot be solved quickly.
He made the remark on Thursday in Abuja, at his induction into the Idoma Hall of Fame.
He also defended the removal of fuel subsidy.
He said there are fewer strikes now than before.
He pointed to the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, teachers and university staff, and pensioners, who he said no longer strike as often.
He admitted that the high cost of living is a real concern, but said not every problem can be fixed at the same time.
"Solving the problem of the economy is not like healing somebody that is sick," he said.
WIKE SAID TO PASTOR ENENCHE AND THE AUDIENCE "SOLVING THE ECONOMY IS NOT LIKE HEALING OF THE SICK". KAI....THIS MAN SEF 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 'I'm going to Dunamis Church. Pastor Enenche invited me to commission their pedestrian bridge. I'll go there and speak to the people and tell them there are lots of advantages under this government. I'll tell them nobody approved this bridge until we came. Yes! It's correct.' - Between FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and Pastor Paul Enenche during the induction of the minister into the Idoma Hall of Fame.
