Jade S. Hawklen, a 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged to court for grievous offences.
The man faces a felony charge after Lincoln police say he spied on a n*ked woman using a light therapy machine at a north Lincoln gym last month, according to court documents.
According to Journal Star, Jade S. Hawklen, of 3151 N. Hill Road, Lincoln, England, was charged Friday with unlawful intrusion in connection with the Nov. 28 incident at the Planet Fitness at 3020 Folkways Blvd.
Around 1:10 a.m., the woman had been working out at the gym and Hawklen, who is also a member at the gym, had been encouraging her to use the machine, Lincoln police said in an affidavit to arrest Hawklen.
She agreed to use it, and after being shown how, she locked the door to the room and undressed, the affidavit said.
While she was standing inside of the cylindrical machine, she caught a man staring at her through the gap in the side of the machine and he appeared to be recording or photographing her on his phone, police said.
The man then ran out of the room, police said.
Video surveillance showed the man, who police identified as Hawklen, unlocking the door to the room with a key and hurriedly leaving the room about a minute later, the affidavit said.
Hawklen was arrested Thursday and appeared in court the next day.
Lancaster County Judge Thomas Zimmerman appointed the Public Defender's office to represent Hawklen and ordered him not to contact the woman upon his release.
Hawklen was released on $10,000 bond.
Attempts to reach him and his court-appointed attorney were unsuccessful Monday.
Officials at the gym weren't immediately available for comment.
