Shocking: Over 70% Candidates Failed WAEC

 

The head of the West African Examination Council (WAEC), Charles Eguridu yesterday announced that Over 70 percent of candidates who participated in this year’s WAEC exams have failed.

Mr. Eguridu said out of 241,161 candidates who took part in the examinations, only 72,522 scored five credits with the two key subjects, giving a pass rate of 29.27 percent, a record that only supersedes that of 2013 by only 1 percent.
