Burkha-wearing raiders made off with 64,000 pounds of cash and jewellery from south London pawnbrokers - but were caught because they ran like men
Two burkha-clad robbers who stole more than £64,000 worth of cash and jewellery from a pawnbrokers were caught because 'they did not walk like women'.
Michael Lindo, 34, and Aaron Dumetz, 24, both from Lambeth, threatened two female staff members with a fake gun before making off with their loot. They have been jailed for more than 20 years after a judge described the robbery as 'professional' and 'carefully planned'.

The alarm was raised as suspicious witnesses noticed the men 'did not walk like women', Inner London Crown Court heard. Within minutes unarmed officers were on the scene, giving chase as the two men fled.
The robbers were caught and tackled to the ground after a short pursuit and the officers were today praised for 'remarkable bravery' in confronting the pair without knowing the gun was fake.

Lindo and Dumetz were jailed for more than 20 years after a judge described the robbery as professional and carefully planned. The court heard Lindo had 19 previous convictions for robbery or attempted robbery, two of them with firearms.
Lindo, 34, a football coach, and Dumetz, a trainee carpenter, pleaded guilty to robbery and possession of an imitation firearm with intent. They had targeted the pawnbrokers in Atlantic Road, Brixton, shortly after 9am on May, 27.
