Former President Olusegun Obasanjo's letter to President Muhammadu Buhari has gotten a response from the Federal Government.

The Federal Government on Wednesday reacted to a letter by former President Olusegun Obasanjo advising President Muhammadu Buhari not to seek re-election in 2019.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed while addressing State House correspondents at the end of the weekly meeting of the Federal Executive Council at the Presidential Villa, Abuja lauded Obasanjo for his openness.

He thanked Obasanjo for acknowledging the administration’s efforts in fighting corruption and insecurity.

“We have taken your special press statement in good fate”. Lai Mohammed said.

FG replies former President Obasanjo, thanks him for his positive comments on President Buhari's adminstration and reassures Nigerians of better life ahead.
