A woman in South Africa has created plasters to match the skin tone of different races.
A young South African entrepreneur has created plasters in three shades of brown to match skin tones of black and mixed-race people.
Lize Hartley who lives in Cape town was so shocked after realising that people in her country, where 80 per cent of population are black, have to buy one-shade-fits-all plasters, so she launched the fast-growing brand Plasta.
The company makes first-aid plasters for three different skin tones: light, medium and dark. Speaking about her invention talented entrepreneur said: “We have had this unique situation in South Africa where the majority of the population has been marginalised in a very basic way.
She said: "I would love to extend the range of tones to six or eight, to offer something for everyone"

"They don’t want to be made to feel like they’re not recognised or they don’t belong just because of something small like a plaster. It is just such a small thing, but I think it will help in the effort to make people feel less marginalised in their own countries."
"I am not saying that our tone range is anywhere near perfect, eventually I would love to extend the range of tones to six or eight, to offer something for everyone, not just in South Africa, but other parts of Africa.”
