A 16-year old teenager has been hospitalized three times following a bite from a mysterious spider which dug a hole in her leg.

16-year-old college student, Casey O'Neill from Hampshire was receiving treatment for a month and used crutches after she suffered a bite from what she believes to be a false widow spider.

Speaking on the bite, she said: "I didn't pay attention to it at first, it started off looking like a mosquito bite or something, I spotted it in the bath" Casey said, "over the following days it started to become red and swollen, and much more itchy and painful. It was really disgusting, after it popped the pain was horrible, there was loads of pus and blood coming out of it".

Casey is healing gradually.
