USWeekly reports that Lamar Odom has made some impressive improvements this week after almost dying from a drug overdose at a Nevada brothel in mid this month.
Lamar is 'walking with help now,' according to a report in USWeekly. "Lamar is getting better every day," a source told the magazine. 'He is more coherent and can talk more.'
A friend said: "He has been moved out of the Intensive Care Unit. 'He is doing very well and continues to be a fighter. He hasn't given up once, and this will really help him in the future."
"He is getting stronger every day. And has a great team of therapists and specialists working with him.
"He's 6' 11' and weighs a lot, so getting him to walk a little has been really hard."
However, the former LA Lakers player still has a long road to recovery as he is still in 'definite' need of a new kidney, and remains on dialysis after suffering organ failure over the weekend.
According to the source, doctors at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center are also still "trying to get his kidneys to function on their own."
