Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Wednesday announced a former Minority Whip in the House of Representatives, Mr. Babatunde Oduyoye, as his Special Adviser on Strategy and Political Matters.
Makinde made this known in a statement issued on his behalf by his Chief Press Secretary, Taiwo Adisa.
Adisa, in the statement made available to DAILY POST in Ibadan, the state capital, said the appointment is coming on the heels of the approval granted to the Governor by the Oyo State House of Assembly for the appointment of 12 Special Advisers.
He said that Oduyoye is expected to bring on board his political experience as a member of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) and a former member of the green chamber.
Oduyoye, according to the statement, holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies and first degree in Psychology from the University of Ibadan.
He was elected President of the Students’ Union Government of the institution between 1985 and 1986.
He represented Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency between 1999 and 2007.
