The Bayelsa state government has shown a zero tolerance to the activities of Biafra protesters as a massive arrest has been recorded.
The Bayelsa State Police Command today in Yenagoa arrested 83 members of the Biafra Movement during a “One Million Man March" campaign, according to SaharaReporters.
Those arrested comprised 78 males and 5 females who carried and unfurled Biafra flags as they marched peacefully demanding the release of detained Radio Biafra director, Nnamdi Kanu.
Command spokesman Anisim Butswat said the people were arrested during a flag-raising ceremony of the Biafra Movement on the Mbiama-Yenagoa road.
"Those arrested are at the criminal Investigation Department, CID for Investigations and interrogations,” he said.
