Watch the Moment Family's Pet Dog Almost Starts a House Fire (Video)

 

The black Labrador can be seen in the footage sniffing around the pizza boxes his owners had placed on the oven. After a few moments of searching, Brookfield leaves the kitchen empty-pawed.

 

However, unknown to the dog, it had innocently turned on the hob which as the footage shows eventually burns through the cardboard.

 

The owners of the house had sat down in the next room with their takeaway dinner, unaware their pooch was trying to get a piece of the action.

 

His shocked owners Gary LeClerc and his wife, Katie can be seen rushing into the kitchen to put out the flames.
