There seem to be no end in sight to the bickering of the two major political parties as the All Progressives Congress has accused the Peoples Democratic Party of constantly scheming blackmails.
The ruling All Progressives Congress on Thursday, November 19 asked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to purge itself of what it described as cheap strategies that soiled its 16 year administration.
APC’s acting spokesman Comrade Timi Frank, in a statement in Abuja, said the PDP’s allegation was part of the party’s induced hallucination.
He said it was unfortunate that the PDP was yet to purge itself of “it’s cheap and manipulative strategies that only helped escort it to the doldrums that it is in today”.
Frank said it was bemusing and canny of the PDP to adopt such cheap and strange propaganda in its attempt to taint the change mantra the APC has sworn to betroth to the nation.
The APC’s acting spokesman accused the opposition party of adopting what he described as its past known strategy of cheap political gains, knowing well that the ruling party was known for its adherence to the rule of law and respect for sanctity of life.
Frank said the past 16 years of PDP’s rule, saw a minister, Chief Bola Ige, politicians like Harry Marshall and Funso Williams assassinated with no attempt to unravel the mysteries surrounding their death.
“It would, therefore, be unfortunate for the PDP to elevate this strategic act it had perfected over the years to a political art or a propaganda tool.
“Nigerians all over the world know that President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC are more concerned with cleaning the mess the PDP-led government bequeathed to the government than in chasing after lousy and cheap propaganda of a misplaced party that is pretending to be chasing self-restitution,” the APC’s spokesman said in the statement.
