A man has murdered his brother by butchering him with a large sharp knife after a disagreement.
An Egyptian man used a large knife to murder his brother over a financial rift before committing suicide by taking poison, newspapers in Egypt reported on Tuesday.
Police found the bodies of the two brothers, aged 35 and 37, inside their farm and finger prints showed that the younger one killed his brother with the cleaver.
The papers quoted a police spokesman as saying a bottle of poison was found near the younger brother and that forensic examination showed that he committed suicide.
Residents of the village in Minya governorate, 250km south of the capital Cairo, said the two brothers had a heated argument before the incident over a financial dispute.
Police are still invetigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
