19-year-old Man Arrested for Punching His Mother to Death

 

A boy of 19-years who brutally assaulted his mother by allegedly punching her to death has been arrested, police in Niigata City disclosed.

 

According to a reliable source, the suspect, who cannot be named because he is a minor, got into an argument with his 51-year-old mother and ended up punching her in the stomach at their residence in Niigata’s Kita Ward on November 26, Sankei Shimbun reported.

 

The woman lived in the house with his son and four other people who were not in when the incident happened. The boy called 119 the next morning to report that his mother was unconscious, police said.

 

He denied any intent of seriously hurting his mother and was quoted by police as saying “I only shoved her stomach but never punched her.” 

 

Investigation into the matter continues.
