A 2-year-old dog was brutally murdered by its owner in a most painful manner. The dog was cooked alive using a stove as punishment for daring to bite the man.

A court has convicted a 61-year-old Bradley Boley of Dallas, Texas,  for punishing his 2-month-old Chihuahua by putting it in a kennel and burning it alive.

According to court evidence, Boley got angry after the puppy bit him. He invented a more ferocious plan to pay the dog back for daring to bite him. Boley allegedly hit the puppy many times before placing it in a kennel and on the stove to burn to death.

The desperate cry of the puppy attracted the attention of Boley's friend and neighbour who rushed to the animal's aid. The neighbour identified as Jerrod Foote then convinced Boley to take the charred remains of the the puppy to a veterinary clinic. The puppy died before help could come.

The puppy had 100percent burns which affected the whole of its body. When arrested, Boley denied turning on the stove and blamed the dog for dying as believed the dog might have mistakenly turned the stove on. Boley maintained that his stove was equipped with security knobs that had to be pressed to be turned on.

“I do not know how else to explain it,” Boley told detectives.

A jury rejected Boley’s defense, and he was found guilty of animal cruelty and sentenced him to 15 months in prison.
