In what will come across as a really startling development, a mysterious fire has engulfed a NIPOST office.
The fire on Saturday razed the Osun State Head Office of Nigerian Postal Service located in Osogbo, the state capital.
Spokesperson for the Federal Fire Service in the state, Basiri Adija, confirmed the incident in a chat with our correspondent.
Adija said the fire started from the post office and spread to nearby stalls inside the Orisumbare market in Osogbo.
The NIPOST spokesperson said, “We don’t know how the fire started. We will unravel that after investigation. Our men are working under duress at the scene presently.
“Hoodlums are not making their task easy. The fire started at NIPOST. I was told it has been razed. It has spread to nearby stalls. Our men are still at the scene.”
