A video of Segun Showunmi, a former aide to Atiku Abubakar, is trending on social media.

In the clip, he dances and laughs after the Federal High Court in Abuja removed the ADC leadership and cancelled Atiku's presidential ticket for 2027.

I warned them, I told them this would hppen

They did not listen, Showunmi said in the video.

Showunmi has long criticised Atiku's move to the ADC.

He had warned that the coalition that took control of the party under former Senate President David Mark was built on weak foundations and would not survive a legal challenge.

Justice Peter Lifu ruled that the Mark led caretaker committee was illegal.

That committee ran the primary that picked Atiku as the party's flagbearer.

The judge also removed all the ADC's national officers, including National Secretary Rauf Aregbesola.

He cancelled all the candidates the party had submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the 2027 polls.

The case was brought by Nafiu Bala Gombe, a former ADC Deputy National Chairman for the North  East.

He challenged how Mark and others took over the party after the resignation of former chairman Ralph Nwosu.

In the video, Showunmi dances, claps and repeats his warning that Atiku was misled by those who brought him into the ADC.

When I was shouting, they said I was bitter.

When I warned, they said I was jealous.

Now the court has spoken, he said.

He has also said in the past that Atiku should have stayed in the PDP and rebuilt it.

Showunmi described the ADC as a group of unhappy politicians with no real structure.

My dance when I read what the court said about @ADCNig! 😂 I forewarned. I really did. Am sorry o, am sorry o, Mr @SenDavidABMark. I am sorry. You cannot wish to beat a man at a game using the very playbook he invented alongside the late President @MBuhari. Some lessons in politics are best learnt before the game begins. I hope this one has been learnt. I warned you! Otunba Segun Showunmi
