Suspected Thugs Attack Atiku's Campaign Team in Kebbi, Destroy Journalists' Cameras

The ADC presidential campaign convoy of Atiku Abubakar was reportedly attacked in Kebbi State on Thursday.

The convoy was moving through the state for campaign events when the attack happened.

According to the campaign team, suspected thugs blocked the convoy and threw stones at the vehicles.

They also targeted the media crew travelling with the campaign.

The team said most of the camera and video equipment was destroyed.

Cameras, tripods and other tools were smashed, so the crew could no longer cover the campaign live.

The ADC described the attackers as sponsored thugs.

It said the attack was meant to scare supporters and silence the press.

A member of the team said the attackers did not come to steal but to destroy, and that they wanted to stop Nigerians from seeing what was happening in Kebbi.
