Tension As DPO Is Shot Dead By Thugs In Benue Community

Mr Yahaya Pawa, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Otukpo Police Station in Benue State was on Tuesday, December 1 shot dead by thugs.

The state police spokesperson, Kate Anene confirmed the incident and also revealed that the incident occurred on Tuesday morning after the DPO led officers to Icho-Otukpo settlement to arrest suspected criminals who looted items during a fire outbreak in Otukpo market.

Anene said Pawa is steady and receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
