Popular lawyer and human rights activist, Festus Keyamo has addressed the legal dimension to the vehicular gifts President Muhammadu Buhari received from the embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.

A can of worms was opened when the names of ‘highly placed’ Nigerians who got a share of the alleged $2.1b arms scandal started making rounds on the news media.

More disturbing was that President Buhari’s name was mentioned as a partaker of the loot as he allegedly received a sum of $300,000 as well as two SUVs. The presidency has denied collecting any monetary gifts from the office of the NSA but admitted to receiving the vehicles which are statutory entitlements of a former Head of state as backed by the provisions of the Nigerian constitution.
