A suspected armed robber has been shot by the police in Rivers State.
He was gunned down while robbing guests at a hotel in Bori, Khana Local Government Area of the State.

Our correspondent gathered that the Divisional Police Officer, Bori Division, Bako Amgbanshin, led the operation.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni, who confirmed the incident to our correspondent on Monday, said but for the timely response of the police, more guests would have fallen victim.
“Yes, armed robbers went to a certain hotel in Bori. They were robbing from room to room. When the police were alerted, we went there. They engaged us, but we were able to overpower them. One of them died on the spot and we recovered his rifle and over N50,000 and mobile phones, which were stolen from victims,” he stated.
