At least 1,000 Borno hunters have been sent to combat Boko Haram terrorists in the state.

Borno Governor, Babagana Zulum has sent 1,000 hunters to fight Boko Haram terrorists in the state.
The hunters will complement security agencies in a bid to defeat the terrorists.
The induction was held in Khaddamari village, Jere Local Government Area of the state.
Zulum hailed them for their sacrifice and support to his administration for sustained peace.
The governor assured of adequate logistics support and timely payment of monthly allowances.
The volunteers will protect the farming communities, in four local government areas, against terrorists.
These are Maiduguri, Jere, Mafa and Konduga LGAs.
Zulum thanked Rep. Ahmed Satomi (APC-Borno) and House of Assembly members from areas for mobilising the hunters.
The governor visited Mulai and Dalwa communities on the outskirts of Maiduguri.
He also met with security operatives in preparation for the re-opening of farmlands along the axis.
