Two Dead, Six Injured In Bauchi Auto Crash
Two lives have been lost in a tragic accident that occurred in Bauchi State on Sunday, November 28.
Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Bauchi State, Mr Yusuf Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident, said that six others sustained various degrees of injuries.
Abdullahi said that the accident involving one commercial bus occurred one kilometer after Durum Market along Bauchi-Kano road at 9:53 a.m.
He said eight people were involved in the crash, comprising five males, two females and one male child.
The Sector commander, who attributed the accident to speed violation and tire burst, added that two men died on the spot and six others sustained injuries.
”They include three males, two females and one male child,” he said.
He further stated that the driver of the bus had been identified simply as Ibrahim and that the injured persons had been referred to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUH), Bauchi for treatment.
Abdullahi advised motorists to always be conscious of traffic rules and regulations while plying the roads, adding that the remains of the deceased were also deposited in the morgue of the same hospital for identification.
