A 27-year-old revenue collector has been reportedly killed by a soldier stationed at a checkpoint at the Onitsha Bridgehead in Anambra State on Thursday, January 27.
According to reports, the soldier fired a shot in the air to scare motorists from plying one way and it sadly landed on the revenue collector.
Eyewitness say the soldiers were pursuing and smashing the mirrors of commercial drivers who were plying one-way on the bridge when the incident happened.
More soldiers were redeployed as traders in the area tried to attack the erring soldier.
The Nigerian Army is yet to react to this incident.
