Three Killed As Bandits Storm Taraba Mosque During Iftar

Three lives have been lost as bandits attacked a mosque while worshippers were breaking their fast on Tuesday, April 5.

Daily Trust reported that the gunmen numbering about 50,  killed three persons inside the mosque and also abducted many villagers who were taken to an unknown location.

The incident reportedly occurred at Baba Juli village in Bali Local Government Area of Taraba State.

 A villager said;

“Yesterday’s attack caught us unawares. We were breaking our fast inside the mosque when we started hearing gunshots and there was nothing we could do to counter the terrorists.”

The spokesperson for Taraba State Police Command, DSP Usman Abdullahi confirmed the incident but said he was waiting for more details from the police Divisional office in Bali.
