Tearful Moment Grieving Mother Hears Heart of Her Dead Baby Son Beating Inside Four-year-old Girl's Chest (Photo+Video)

 

A grieving mother was totally emotional after she heard the heart of her dead baby son beating in the chest of a four-year-old girl. The woman named Heather Clark was overcome with emotion when she used a stethoscope to listen to organ recipient Jordan Drake’s chest.

 

The Sun reports that the woman burst into tears at the sound of the heart donated by her son Lukas, who was just seven-months-old when he died after allegedly being abused by his babysitter's boyfriend. Despite the heartbreak of Lukas’ death, Ms Clark was overwhelmed with joy at the encounter.

 

“There is another family out there, somewhere, you know who's feeling something of what I'm feeling, somewhat, and I have the chance to make them not go through what I'm about to go through,” she told Fox 31 prior to meeting Jordan.

 

 

Video footage of the pair coming together shows California-native Ms Clark pressing a stethoscope against the little girl’s chest before bursting into tears.

 

Jordan received tragic Lukas’ donated heart in June 2013 when she was just 18-months old.

 

She has spent most of her life in the Arizona’s Phoenix Children's Hospital due to a congenital heart defect before the life saving surgery.

 

 

Jordan's mother, Esther Gonzalez, said: “It's hard to describe...that she [Ms Clark] would be so selfless to be able to think of another family while she's going through her grief.”

 

During the meeting Ms Gonzalez gave Ms Clark a teddy bear which plays the sound of Jordan and Lukas’ heart beating when its chest is pressed. Lukas is understood to have died in early 2013 when his babysitter’s boyfriend allegedly abused him. A child abuse investigation is still ongoing, Ms Clark told Fox 10 Phoenix.
