Married Teacher Who Had S*x With a Female Student is Banned From Seeing Her Own Children (Photo)

 

 

A married school teacher, Laura Garrigus, has been banned from seeing her own children after allegedly having sex with one of her students.

 

Mirror Online reports that Garrigus, from North Carolina, was arrested yesterday after being accused of having a sexual relationship with a female student aged 17 for several months.

 

The 30-year-old mum-of-three is understood to have resigned from her job at the Cumberland International Early College after reports of her alleged behaviour emerged in December.

 

Eventually the teenage girl reported Garrigus to the police. The teacher has now been charged with four counts of taking indecent liberties with a student and two counts of sexual offense with a student.

 

As a result of her arrest she is not allowed to have any contact with children under the age of 18. This even includes her two sons and her daughter.

 

Garrigus, when informed of this in court, became emotional and asked the judge: "Not even my own children?".

 

Judge Cheri-Siler-Mack responded: "You will not be around any child under age 18."

 

Police say the alleged sexual relationship between the teacher and student was consensual. However she is charged under state laws that ban sex between a teacher and their student.
