Popular Nigerian rapper, Blaqbonez, has said he is all set to effectively make his directorial debut with a music video.
The music star, on Saturday, said he is directing ‘Back in Uni’, the first track in ‘Young Preacher’, his next album.
In a now-viral tweet, Blaqbonez shared a screenshot of his chat with TG Omori, the Nigerian music video director.
From the chat, it is apparent that the duo had been bargaining the cost of the video if Omori were to direct it.
Omori said the cost would be $30,000 but Blaqbonez responded by bidding the video director goodbye.
This suggested that the rapper thought the quoted amount is exorbitant.
Blaqbonez went ahead to announce that he would be directing the video by himself.
“Today I’m directing my first music video. Every disappointment is a blessing,” he wrote in the caption of his tweet.
Included in the tweet is a photo of him in a video set, with members of his crew partaking in it.

Blaqbonez’s latest move comes a few days after the music star released the audio version of ‘Back in Uni’.
In the song, the Chocolate City rapper reflects on life as a university undergraduate and his past relationships.
Since the release of his debut album ‘Sex over Love’ in 2021, Blaqbonez has continued to enjoy the limelight.
