The Nation reports that some traders are accepting the old naira notes in Lagos.
They are accepting the notes at the grand finale of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential rally in Lagos, in compliance with an order of the Supreme Court that restrained the Federal Government from banning the old naira notes.
Some of the traders, who spoke with The Nation, explained that was the only way to assuage the pains and difficulties of those who still have the old notes.
They also said they had no choice but to continue to accept the old naira notes as the new ones were not available for transactions.
The Nation observed that buying and selling were not so much hindered at the rally ground as the old and new naira notes were being used for transactions.
Supporters, who were happy with the development, patronised the traders of different items at the venue of the rally.
