A UK-based Nigerian educationist, Dipo Awojide has taken to Twitter to warn Nigerians against demonising the country while narrating his experience of waiting for up to 48 hours to get a doctor in the UK after he passed out.
The media personality took to Twitter to address his reasons for being mute during the 2023 elections which many expected input from him.
Clarifying his silence, Dipo Awojide revealed that he was sick and struggled to get a doctor to attend to his health needs in the UK.
While discouraging demonising Nigeria, he wrote in a tweet;
“Was sick after my birthday dinner. Fell down in the toilet because I was so weak. I banged my nose and passed out. Had to be revived. This picture was taken 10 days after. Twitter mob was waiting for me to comment on Nigerian politics. While I was fighting for my health 😂😂.
“I couldn’t see a GP in 48 hours. I would have been able to see a Doctor in Nigeria within 12 hours. Stop demonising Nigeria 🇳🇬. Things can be better in Nigeria 🇳🇬 but we are dealing with a lot in the UK 🇬🇧 as well 😉,” he added.
