A female voter alleged that she received N3,000, two wrappers, and packs of pasta from the “broom” party after casting her votes in the supplementary elections that took place in Kebbi state, today April 15.
Another lady said “the broom” party gave her the same as well as others for voting for them.
Channels TV reports that the two voters spoke at the Baban Dutsi Model Primary School which has three polling units namely: Karyo, Umijin Nana and Baban Dutsi.
The Independent National Electoral Commission is conducting supplementary governorship, national and state Assembly elections in Kebbi and Adamawa states, as well as national and state assemblies’ elections in 24 states of the federation today.
The governorship supplementary election will be held in 142 polling units across 20 local government areas of Kebbi State while in Adamawa State, supplementary elections will be held in 20 local government areas to determine the next governor of the state between Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of the Peoples Democratic Party and Senator Aishatu Binani of the All Progressive Congress.
Legislative polls will also be conducted in the state.
