The first set of Nigerians airlifted from Sudan have arrived Abuja.
They were evacuated from Egypt by Air Peace and Nigerian Air Force (NAF).
Both aircraft arrived at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja at 11:30 pm and 12 midnight on Wednesday, respectively.
Upon their arrival, health officials and immigration officers attended to the returnees.
Some of those who spoke with TheCable at the airport expressed delight to be back in the country.
“We are happy to be back home,” one of the students said.
Below are photos from their arrival.
