I’m Working With Wike, Nigeria’s Unity Non-negotiable – Tinubu

The President-elect, Bola Tinubu, has promised to fulfil the promises he made to Rivers State when he assumes office on May 29.

He stated that the unity of Nigeria is non-negotiable while promising to be fair to all.

Tinubu made the remark while noting that he and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State are working to promote unity.

Speaking while commissioning the Magistrates Court Complex in Port Harcourt, Tinubu urged Nigerians to tolerate each other.

According to Tinubu: “I will fulfil the promise I made to the people of Rivers State and that is what I intend to do in all policy formations coming up.

“I promise Nigerians that the unity of this country is not negotiable. That is what Wike and I are promoting jointly. I promise I will be fair to all.”

The unity of Nigeria has been a subject of discussion following agitations for secession by many ethnic nationalities within the country.
