Nigerians have been dragging the Osun state indigene online for ‘’exposing'' the secret of Nigerians.
BBNaija star, Leo Da Silva has said it is the habit of the United Kingdom to close any opportunity that is beneficial to citizens of other countries because of its prejudice.
Leo made the statement after the backlash that followed an interview granted by Nigerian YouTuber, Emdee Tiamiyu.
Emdee is currently being dragged online over the interview he granted to BBC where he said many Nigerians come into the UK under the guise to study but immediately abandon their school program to pursue a better life.
Nigerians have been dragging the Osun state indigene online for ‘’exposing'' the secret of Nigerians. They argue that his video evidence will be used against Nigerians and will now make it more difficult for Nigerians to migrate to the UK.
His interview came just after UK's Home Secretary, Suella Braverman, announced a ban on Nigerians and other international students bringing family members to the country during their Master's program.
Reacting via his Twitter handle, Leo said he lived in the UK for ten years and knows for a fact that the British people work against immigrants. Stressing that Emdee is not at fault in his claims, Leo argued that the conservatives have always changed many immigration laws for Nigerians. He opined that the UK only just needs the PR from interviews such as the one Emdee gave so as not to seem prejudiced or racist. He added that anything that will benefit people from other countries, the UK will always clamp down on it.
