World-famous football icon, Lionel Messi has talked about why he left Paris Saint-Germain.
He suggested that he left Paris Saint-Germain because he was not happy during his two-year stint at the club.
This comes after Messi was announced as an Inter Miami player on Wednesday.
The Argentina World Cup winner gave an interview to Spanish outlets Mundo Deportivo to clarify questions surrounding this future.
In the interview, the 35-year-old opened up on his time at PSG, insisting that his family was affected because he was not happy at the French Ligue 1 champions.
“These were two years at PSG in which I was not happy, I did not enjoy myself, and that affected my family life,” Messi said.
“I’m at a moment where I want to get out of focus a bit, and think more about my family. The last two years haven’t been so well for my family,” he added.
Messi joined PSG on a free transfer back in the summer of 2021.
