Peruzzi, the Afropop musician has clarified his decision not to intervene in the feud between Burna Boy and Davido.
He asserted that given the close relationship between Omo Baba Olowo and the Odogwu singer, whom he considers as "brothers," the situation is more intricate than it appears, and he felt powerless to mediate.
During an interview on a Zero Conditions podcast episode that Melody, Excel, and Motolani Alake co-hosted, Peruzzi made this claim.
The “Gunshot” singer claimed he never agreed to anything and that he didn’t get involved because he is older than both of them.
He claimed that despite their disagreement over Burna’s song, Pull Up, he still gets along well with the self-proclaimed African Giant.
Peruzzi stated that Burna Boy and Davido will resolve their differences on their own time and without outside intervention.
The singer went on to say in the interview that Burna Boy published the song “Pull Up” without telling him, even though he wrote the song and was meant to be on it.
But given that what transpired was typical for the industry at the time, he claimed that they were calm and had no ill will towards one another.
Motolani asked; “Did any of the funny energy between him [Burna] and David affect you guys relationship?”
In response, Peruzzi said; “No, it never did. First of all I am older than both of them, ad I have never been a rubbish guy to anybody, I have never been a yes man. I will always yarn you how things…Because even when they were quarreling [chuckles].
"I didn’t try to settle it because it was deeper than normal. You know they are brothers now. They will still settle don’t worry.”
"You and Odogwu (Burna Boy). Pull Up. What the fvck happened?"
