Naval Officer in Abuja Kill Woman 5 Days to Her Wedding

 

It was an unfortunate situation  in the city of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, when a beautiful young lady with just 5 days to her wedding was reportedly shot dead by a Naval officer.

 

The lady, identified as Ene, allegedly died when the Naval officer attached to Abuja Environmental Protection Board, opened fire on innocent civilians while trying to enforce the demolition of a building.

 

According to eye witnesses, the lady was hit by a stray bullet from the officer's gun and if not for people around, the culprits would have made good their escape but they were pursued and made to take the lady to the hospital but by the time they got back to the scene, the lady had given up the ghost.

 

The Navy command was informed of the act by one of its men and they promised to take care of the burial expenses and also compensate the family but according to sources within the family, the Navy only came up with N200,000 and after Ene's burial, they have been foot-dragging which is making the family plan to seek redress.
