Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo has said he stands by his controversial remarks warning Peter Obi against visiting Edo without notifying him first.
According to him, if it is a crime to tell Obi to inform him before entering the state, so be it.
“If telling Peter Obi not to come to Edo without informing me is a crime, so be it,” he said.
Speaking on the matter, the governor insisted he has no regrets over his statement, stressing that his role as the chief security officer of the state compelled him to speak out.
Okpebholo clarified that his comments were intended as advice rather than a threat, highlighting his responsibility to ensure the safety and security of Edo residents.
