Try To Answer Your DM - Nigerian Woman Advises People As She Marries Man 5 Years After He Slid Into Her DM

A Nigerian woman, Deborah Ned, has urged women to make it a habit to respond to their DMs.

She gave the advice in a Facebook post on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 after she married her husband, Emmanuel Ned. 

Emmanuel made the first move when he slid into Deborah's DM on October 16, 2019 to politely request for her phone number and a lunch date.
 
Deborah replied his message, and gave him her contact number. 
 
She shared their wedding photo alongside the DM. 
 
“The dm I responded to. Five years after. Try dey answer your dm,” Deborah captioned the post.
