A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Joe Igbokwe has asked the Nigerian military to dismiss the soldier who engaged in a heated exchange with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
According to him, the officer is a small boy and shouldn't have confronted the FCT Minister.
Igbokwe gave the submission in a post on his Facebook page.
He wrote, “Who is this man in uniform? Of what meat is he fed? Who is beating the drum for him? This is unacceptable? His uniform has to be removed.”
Recall that we had reported how the unidentified soldier had blocked the Minister and officials of the FCTA from accessing a portion of land in the FCT.
The officer, claiming he was acting on instructions, told Wike that he would not be allowed on the property. Wike, however, questioned his authority, leading to a heated confrontation.
The Minister’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, alleged that a former Chief of Naval Staff ordered the soldier to block his principal.
