Former FCT Minister and Kaduna state governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has publicly declared his asset. He is worth over N90 billion.
Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai's assets declaration has come as a big shock to most Nigerians as he allegedly declared ownership of 40 mansions, most of which are located in Abuja. The self-claimed anti-corruption Governor who made his asset declaration public as he promised Nigerians has assets that are valued at N90 billion. According to experts, 40 Houses in choice areas of Abuja is valued at over N65 billion, this bring his total assets to be about N155 billion.
Kaduna State Director Code of Conduct Bureau, George David, however, declined to comment when contacted by reporters. He said the law on asset declaration permitted public office holders not to make their asset declaration public. He disclosed that asset declaration by El- Rufai and his Deputy were made long before yesterday.
Governor El-Rufai’s Adviser on Media and Communication, Muyiwa Adekeye, confirmed that the governor had declared his assets but promised to get back to journalists with details. As at press time, he never did.
