Muyiwa is the son of murdered former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Bola Ige. He has revealed in a new interview that the investigation surrounding the death of his father will be re-opened once Buhari takes the reigns.

It seems like it was just yesterday, but its been 14 years now since the late Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Bola Ige, Muyiwa was murdered in a mysterious manner.

The son of the late Justice, Muyiwa Ige in an interview with DAILYINDEPENDENTNIG, says his family would reopen the case under the administration of President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari.

Muyiwa is also optimistic that the killers of his late father would be found this time around after years of stalled attempts. Ige was assassinated in his Bodija, Ibadan, home on December 23, 2001, by yet to be identified gunmen.

Some high profile politicians were implicated in the murder. According to him: “We know the killers, they are still out there walking, but sooner or later the killers will be found.

“Once we have a concerned government in power, we will fish out the killers. I thank God that on May 29 a concerned government will take over.

“When we have the government that believes in the rule of law, we are going to push for the case to be reopened. Right now, the prime suspects have no power base. We are going to reopen the case and, hopefully, justice will prevail,” he said.
