BREAKING News: IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu Finally Granted Bail...Here are the Conditions

Director of Radio Biafra and Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, who was arrested at Golden Tulip Essential Hotel, Ikeja, in 2015, has been granted bail.

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Tuesday, 25th March 2017, has granted bail to the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu on health ground. 
 
According to multiple online reports, here are some of the conditions in Kanu's bail;
 
1. He is expected to provide three sureties - (i) must be a serving senator, (ii) a jewish religious leader and (iii) a highly respected person
 
2. The above persons must own a land in anywhere in Abuja
 
3. The bail bond is N100 million for each surety 
 
4. He was also ordered never to grant any press interview pending the outcome of his trial 
 
5. He will not be in a gathering of more than 10 persons 
 
6. He won't be given back his international passport untill further notice
 
7. Nnamdi Kanu will be allowed to go home after meeting the above bail conditions as a result of negotiations with the Federal Government.
 
Justice Binta Nyako who is the presideing judge, said Kanu's bail will be revoked if any of the orders are flouted, as she however denied other accused persons bail. 
 
According to the judge, treasonable felony - the charges against them is a serious offence against the state. 
 
The judge also refused the application by Kanu to vary her previous order on protecting witnesses in the matter, saying that the witnesses who have been identified as security operatives cannot be exposed in the course of the trial. 
 
She further held that the witnesses will be identified with alphabets during the trial.
