A Dubai police officer has shot dead his colleague over a personal dispute, emirates247 reports.
Dubai Police tweeted that it was purely a case of personal differences, denying what some social networking sites and media portrayed as a political or ideological dispute.
This is an individual act and there is no other reason behind it, police said.
The reason why a policeman shot dead his colleague is under investigation by prosecutors as the men were reportedly arguing before the shot was fired.
The accused has been arrested and his case is now with the public prosecutor for further legal action against him as the court will rule in his case.
Both the suspect and the victim are Yemenis.
